About the event
Jordan Lee Schnee is a German-American writer, musician, and translator. He teaches English literature at the Freie Universität Berlin and curates readings for the Haus für Poesie. His original poems in Yiddish have been published by Af'n Shvel, Yiddishland, Diaphanes, Aphaia Verlag, and Propellor Berlin. He has published translations of Debora Vogel (InGeveb; Asymptote) and Avrom Nokhem Stencl (Loch Raven Review). He edited the anthology “Flores de vidrio / Flores de vidro” by Debora Vogel. Schnee was an ELES Doctoral and LABA Arts fellow. He has performed at Yung Yidish Tel Aviv, IWO (YIVO) Buenos Aires, Casa do Povo São Paolo, Farbindungen, Festivalt and the Festiwal Kultury Żydowskiej in Krakow, and at the Poesiefestival Berlin.
